Y-CAM Bullet HD1080 no video
Hi
I have several open tickets that support have not responded to for several weeks, so am hoping forum contributors may have a solution for me. I have two cameras. One a YCam Bullet works and records fine. The second a YCAM bullet HD 1080 has stopped recording and I cant get a feed re-established- constant blue screen. A warning triangle demands that RSTP authentication should be disabled, which, frustratingly, it already is within YCAM.app software (and I keep going back to reconfirm this). Line testing confirms power over ethernet is working fine. I've now taken the camera down to test it from the convenience of my office and the green and yellow colours confirm the camera is working. So does YCAM live software- although this programme itself often freezes and crashes in safari, chrome and firefox. I find if one goes down switching to another browser often works. I have even deleted the camera from security spy and then recreated it but all to no avail.
Can anyone help please?

Hi Laurie, sorry to hear you couldn't get this resolved via our support system - I'll take a look at what happened with your tickets.
For certain cameras, the yellow triangle is displayed with gives useful setup information - in this case to disable RTSP. If you have made the settings change, simply ignore the triangle thereafter (it will still be displayed whether you have made this settings change or not).
General advice for checking setup of network cameras is to make sure that the IP address and username/password is correctly set in SecuritySpy (try them in Safari to confirm). I would also advise leaving the port boxes empty (unless you have set up the camera to use non-standard ports), and making sure the SSL option is not enabled.
Also, for H.264 cameras such as this one, make sure that Perian is not installed on your computer, as this interferes with SecuritySpy's ability to decode the H.264 stream.
If you are still having problems, please email us and include screenshots of the camera's setup in SecuritySpy as well as the Log file that you'll find in the SecuritySpy folder within your Documents folder. This will enable us to look into your issue further. -
Thanks Ben
Username and passwords are correct. I do not have Perian installed. However we have now resolved the problem which I would like to share here in case others have similar issues. The solution was to power down all cameras, modem, mac and netgear switch and disconnect all cables. Restart the mac and delete security spy camera profile. Restart. Recreate security spy camera profile. Reconnect cables and powerup cameras, switch and modem. Restart. Both our cameras have been recording properly since then. -
Hi, HAve a Cube 1080, got the video working after disabling Perian..looks great, but no audio...what do I do here? I feel like I take one step forward and one step backward.

Hi wccan - audio should certainly work with this camera. Some things to check:
- As the Format in the Video Device Settings, make sure you've selected H.264 RTSP (or H.264 RTSP-over-HTTP)
- In the Audio tab in the Camera Settings window, select "Network audio" as the source
- Do you see the small speaker icon next to the camera in the Camera Status menu? Clicking on this should play the live audio.
If the above doesn't help, please email us and include your Log file (you will find it in your ~/Documents/SecuritySpy/ folder) as well as screenshots showing your setup. To capture a screenshot, press command-shift-4 and select the area you want to capture. A file called "Screen shot" will appear on your desktop. -
Ok, that did not do it either. Will snap some screen shots. And the log file
