iOS App and the time shown on preview list is local time, not the time zone of the camera

I'm using version SS 4.12 and the latest iOS app version 1.11. There's a bug with the time shown in the preview capture list. The preview capture list displays the local time of the iPad, not the time of the camera capture. If I'm viewing my Philadelphia camera preview list in Arizona, the times of the captures in the preview list are in local Arizona time, not the time the video was captured in Philadelphia. Really makes no sense to view a nighttime capture (8:30 pm) where the clip preview list shows it as 5:30 pm.

By the way, I'm also experiencing periodic red x in live mode when streaming in jpeg mode and to a less frequent occurrence with lIve h.264 mode.

  • This was a conscious design decision rather than a bug, because it's useful for certain things (e.g. you can easily tell which files were captured in the last hour if they are shown in your local time zone). Though I understand your point - perhaps we should make this an option.

As for the red X, this happens after 3 seconds of no video streaming, just to indicate that the image is no longer live. There are no known problems with the video streaming between SecuritySpy 4.1.2 and the iOS app 1.1.1, so this is probably due to the network connection being a bit slow sometimes.
  • It would be great if it were an option. When I'm viewing camera captures from afar, I'm thinking in
"camera capture time", not local time. Thanks.
